Denver home prices hit record high

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - For a third straight month, Denver-area home-resale prices set a new all-time high in May, with average prices up 8.2 percent from a year earlier.

That's according to the latest monthlyS&P/Case-Shiller Home Prices Index from S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC, issued Tuesday.

Month to month, metro-Denver prices rose 1.3 percent from April to May, the report said.

But the latest Case-Shiller numbers show a modest slowing in the pace of home price increases, both year over year and month to month.
