Doorway to Denver: City to focus on northeast neighborhoods at upcoming summit

Gilmore represents District 11, which encompasses Northeast Park Hill, Stapleton, Montbello, Parkfield, Gateway, Green Valley Ranch and stretches to Denver International Airport.

The northeast neighborhoods are growing and transforming, she said. The area's on the cusp of massive change with the nearby 21,000-acre Aerotropolis plan south of DIA and the massive Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center project coming just across the city line in Aurora.

She wants to make sure that District 11 doesn’t miss out.

Gilmore is behind a day-long Northeast Denver Economic Summit scheduled for April 29 that brings in keynote speaker Dr. Jared Bernstein, a former chief economist in the Obama administration whose focus has been economic mobility.
