Who got money from Colorado's upper crust in the recent election?

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Wealthy Coloradans donated upwards of $12 million to political action committees promoting individual candidates or liberal or conservative causes in the most recent election cycle.

The list of names is a who’s who of Colorado business and civic leaders and supporters, from liberals Pat Stryker and Timothy Gill to conservatives Philip Anschutz and Peter Coors.

Some of the biggest donors aren’t as well known, however. Fantasy author Thomas Barron, who lives in Boulder, gave $500,000 to the League of Conservation Voters Victory Fund and smaller amounts to Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

Cantay Ergen, wife of Dish chairman Charlie Ergen, along with relatives and some senior Dish Network executives, gave almost $784,000 to the Hillary Victory and Hillary Action Funds and to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
