A total of 212 people voted yes to the new regulations, which will allow casinos to raise limits, extend hours, and add new games to their facilities.

Sixteen residents voted no and nine provisional ballots will be counted on Wednesday.

The vote was to determine if Central City would join Black Hawk in raising the limit to $100 from the previous high of $5. Cripple Creek has also approved the measure.

In addition, casinos will now be allowed to extend their hours of operation as well as add craps and roulette to their casino floors.

The 212 votes to approve equal a 93 percent passage of the new regulations.

The changes take effect after July 1.
