The Denver District Attorney's says Roberto Rodriguez was charged with sexual assault on a child and sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.

Authorities say the 31-year-old Rodriguez, who worked as a para professional in the school's library in addition to his soccer coaching, is accused of beginning a sexual relationship with a girl at the school in December 2008.

When school administrators learned of the allegations, they contacted Denver Police, according to the district attorney's office. Rodriguez was arrested on March 11.

Officials at the district attorney's office say Rodriguez is in custody at the Denver County Jail on a $100,000 bond and is due in court on Friday.
