Jen Marnowski written by: Adam Schrager     8 months ago

KUSA - YOUR SHOW began this week with Rep. Betsy Markey (D-Colorado). The first-term Democrat from the 4th Congressional District answered your questions on a variety of topics including Friday's energy bill (otherwise known as the Cap and Trade bill).

Markey also answered health care (including a single-payer system, a public option and whether members of Congress could opt out of whatever is required), gay rights, the Employee Free Choice Act, and the increasing government debt.

Viewers who participated in the program included: Tim Milke, Scott Zurbrigen, Glenn and Trish Babcock in Eaton, Duane Del Duca, Bob Roth, Jenni Grubbs, Chris Boxterman, Leslie Jenkins, Bill Stafford, Jack Coppock, Travis Bollhoefner, Steve Sunderman, and Andrew Kinney.

YOUR SHOW concluded this week by asking your questions to Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan. In a segment conducted via satellite earlier in the week, the administration official spoke about expanding the first-time homebuyer's tax credit to all homebuyers, a new system for appraisers and properties with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, expanding funding for Section 8 vouchers and how he defines urban development.

Viewers who participated included: Jim Turney, Audrey Dunn, Matthew George and Sam Mamet of the Colorado Municipal League.

This upcoming week, YOUR SHOW will pose your questions to Jef Bauer, Colorado Gaming Association board member and general manager of Mardi Gras Casino, who will talk about the changes coming to Colorado's gaming industry including extended hours, new games like roulette and increased betting limits. We will also have 9News gardening expert Rob Proctor on the program to answer your questions as well.
