Two of the four people in the van, both children, weren't wearing seat belts and were thrown from the van.

A passenger who was wearing a seat belt, 50-year-old Querubin Castaneda-Sanchez of Commerce City was pronounced dead at the scene.

One of the teenagers, 15-year-old Giovanni Castaneda of Commerce City, was airlifted to Denver Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The two other people injured, the driver, 51-year-old Isabel Estrada and 12-year-old Jonathon Castaneda, both of Commerce City, were both injured. Estrada was taken to the Northern Colorado Medical Center and Jonathon was taken to The Children's Hospital by ambulance.

A Weld County Sheriff's Deputy was also injured in another accident, with a dump truck, on the way to the crash.
