Denver Police say just before 5 a.m. they spotted a suspicious truck near the 2400 block of South High Street near the DU campus. When officers tried to make contact with the man in the truck, he ran away.

That's when police say they set up a perimeter. The man was taken into custody a couple hours later.

Police say the arrest was made near High Street and Wesley Avenue.

Neighbors say helicopters were circling the neighborhood since the early morning hours on Saturday.

This all comes following an incident Thursday when a University of Denver student woke up to find a man in her bedroom. Police say he threatened to shoot her before leaving.

The day before, police say another home in the same neighborhood was broken into.

During the first week of September, the same thing happened at the Gamma Phi Beta sorority house

There were about two dozen burglaries between last November and March.
