The Colorado State Patrol was still investigating the crash late Saturday night, and the name of the victim, 48, was not immediately released. Investigators believe speed and alcohol intoxication played a role.

CSP spokesman Sgt. John Hahn said the crash occurred about 7:30 p.m. on County Road 38E, the reservoir access road.

Hahn said CSP investigators believe the motorcycle rider had been swerving in and out of traffic and was overtaking a fellow eastbound vehicle when he collided with a Toyota truck traveling west.

Hahn said the male driver of the truck, along with his female passenger, were unhurt in the collision.
