The Wheat Ridge Police Department says the ramp from Ward Road to I-70 was closed much of the morning while crews clean up the mess and wait for a tow truck to remove the overturned truck. It reopened shortly before 1 p.m.

Police say the crash had a minimal effect on traffic and motorists could access eastbound I-70 at Applewood Center Drive, between W. 32nd and W. 38th Avenues.

According to police, the driver was not injured in the crash. They believe excessive speed was the cause of the crash.
