Police investigate after teacher accused of forcibly removing student
|
WESTMINSTER - A teacher was placed on paid administrative leave after being accused of grabbing a disruptive student's clothing and pulling the student out of class. ![]() Westminster Police say they began an investigation on Friday after Adams County District 50 Administration notified them of the event, which occurred at Westminster High School. Police say the teacher caused the pupil minor injury when removing the high schooler from the classroom by grabbing clothing. The student went to the principal's office where he told administrators what happened. A spokesman for the school says the incident involved a special education teacher, but would not say whether the student was in a special education class at the time. A school resource officer began an investigation into the incident, but no other information was released as the investigation continues. (Copyright KUSA*TV, All Rights Reserved)
