5 kids taken to hospital after Tuesday morning crash

DENVER - Fire officials say five children and one adult were taken to a hospital on Tuesday morning after a two-car crash.

The Denver Fire Department says the crash happened at Green Valley Ranch and Malaya Street just after 8 a.m. when a Dodge Durango collided with a Chevy Malibu.

According to Denver Fire, there were two adults and five children inside the Durango and a woman inside the Malibu. Denver Fire says the woman had to be extricated from the Malibu.

The woman who was extricated had to be taken to the hospital, as did the five children. Their names and conditions were not released.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
