The Littleton Fire Department says the blaze at 5027 Nichols Place was first reported around 2 p.m. and was contained before 3:30 p.m.

Division Chief Doug Ireland of Littleton Fire says the fire spread quickly into the attic of the two-story, single family house, but was quickly brought under control.

A person who was working outside the house suffered some smoke inhalation, but Ireland says that person was treated at the scene and released.

No one else was injured in the blaze.

Crews remained at the scene to mop up and investigate the cause of the fire.
