Police say four of the teens were ejected from the 1998 Nissan Sentra when the driver, 17-year-old Juan Moreno-Zavala, drove off Interstate 70 and through a deer fence just west of Rifle.

The Colorado State Patrol says the car went airborne over a dry creek bed before hitting the side of an embankment and rolling.
Three were in critical condition in Grand Junction on Wednesday, with another in good condition. Two of the teenagers received only minor injuries.

The State Patrol says drugs or alcohol did not play a role in the crash. The teens are all from Glenwood Springs.
