The El Paso County Sheriff's Department responded to the report of a shooting in a neighborhood near Oberding Drive and and Manzana Drive in the Security-Widefield area of El Paso County, just south of Colorado Springs Thursday.

Police identified the suspect as 76-year-old Alyais Oliver and the victim as 49-year-old Keith Oliver.

Alyais Oliver is in police custody while investigators sort out what happened. They are looking into reports that the two men were arguing about chores.

Neighbors were upset about the violence on Thanksgiving Day in a place they describe as a quiet neighborhood.
