It happened around 2 a.m. Wednesday outside the Chase Bank located at 6300 Gunpark Drive in Boulder.

Police discovered the incident when officers went to the bank to respond to an alarm. Once there, they found the ATM on its side and about 15 to 20 feet from where it had been positioned.

Surveillance video shows a man tying a heavy chain wrapped around the ATM machine to the back of the U-Haul.

Police discovered the U-Haul a short distance away. It was reported stolen out of Boulder County.

Police say the man was not able to remove any money from the machine.

Anyone with information on the incident or a suspect is asked to call Boulder Police at 303-441-3300.
