On October 11, deputies were told about a suspicious e-mail regarding an inappropriate relationship between John "Jamie" Allen and a 17-year-old girl.

The e-mail was accidentally intercepted by a man in Florida and reported to authorities.

Deputies found there was an inappropriate relationship between Allen, a teacher at Vail Christian High School, and one of his students.

Both the student and her parents have cooperated with authorities.

Allen was arrested on October 12 at 8 p.m. by the Hermosa Beach California Police. He is being held in lieu of a $15,000 bond at the Los Angeles County Jail.
