Boulder County sheriff's officials say McCarty's body was found Friday in a creek near Peaceful Valley, northwest of Boulder.

The cause and manner of death have not yet been determined, but Coroner Tom Faure says no foul play is suspected.

McCarty's brother, Eric McCarty, is Colorado's director of sports medicine. Eric McCarty says his brother was reported missing Tuesday and a missing persons report was filed Wednesday.

Tennyson McCarty caught 37 passes for 311 yards and one touchdown in 42 career games for the Buffaloes from 1994 to 1997.
