Armed with hatchet, suspect robs adult novelty store
|
DENVER – Police are looking for a man who left behind important clues when he robbed the Pleasures Adult Entertainment store armed with a hatchet and a hammer. ![]() Denver Police say the suspect wore a dark colored winter jacket when he approached the clerk at the store at 3490 W. Colfax Avenue on Jan. 22 and asked for the money from the register. Because the suspect wore the jacket's hood up over his head during the robbery it was hard for the clerk to get a good description. While entering the front door a few minutes earlier, the suspect made a decision that could make it easier for the public to turn him in. He pulled his hood off his head long enough for the surveillance camera to catch his face on video tape. The suspect is described as 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and between 140 and 170 pounds. He had dark hair and was described as having a "scruffy looking beard." He was wearing a white baseball cap backward under his dark-colored and puffy winter jacket. The suspect was carrying a hatchet on one side and a hammer on the other. Police think this suspect may also be associated with a robbery at the Pleasure's Adult Bookstore at 127 South Broadway in Denver. Denver Police hope anyone who may know who he is will call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867). If your information helps lead to an arrest you could be eligible for a cash reward.
