BRECKENRIDGE – A body found over the weekend was officially identified as that of a missing New Jersey man on Wednesday, according to the Summit County Coroner's office.
The coroner says they were able to identify 23-year-old Michael Barbiere through dental records. There was no trauma to his body and no evidence of foul play.
Barbiere went missing early on Feb. 8 after he walked away from a bar. A full search was launched Feb. 9 but was suspended on Feb. 11.
His body was found on Saturday in the south end of Breckenridge after a man found Barbiere's credit card on the ground. That eventually lead searchers to his body.
The coroner ruled Barbiere's death as a result of hypothermia due to exposure.
Toxicology results are pending and are due back next week.
