Jeremy Dennis, 25, was arrested on May 23 for two counts of felony sex assault on a child by a person in a position of trust. He is also charged with sex assault in a pattern of abuse.

The Mountain Range High School administration sent a letter to parents on the day of the arrest explaining the situation.

Dennis is accused of having inappropriate contact with a student three days before his arrest.

The school administration says Dennis had resigned prior to his arrest, saying he was taking another teaching position.

He had been at Mountain Range for a year.

Dennis was released from custody on May 24 in lieu of a $20,000 bond.

He is scheduled to return to Adams County Court on June 9.

His arrest record is currently sealed until 30 days after the day he was arrested.
