Man presents video he says proves aliens exist
|
DENVER – A Colorado man who wants to get an extraterrestrial affairs committee in Denver showed a video on Friday which he says proves aliens really do exist. ![]() Jeff Peckman presented the video to the media on Friday, but organizers of the event refused to let the news media shoot the video and made them turn their cameras away. He says the video was taken at a Nebraska home in 2003 by an infrared camera Peckman says the video will be analyzed by scientists in an effort to prove it has not been doctored in any way. He says the video is the reason Denver needs a commission to police possible extraterrestrial activity. That commission would come in the form of a $75,000 bond. He needs 4,000 signatures to get the initiative on the November ballot. Earlier on Friday, Peckman spoke with 9NEWS Anchor Gary Shapiro on 9NEWS at 8 a.m. Shaprio: So you're pretty confident this is the real deal. Peckman: The evidence is very compelling, very convincing, and this video is really just a small slice of the bigger body of evidence that really confirms extraterrestrial beings do exist, they've visited our planet. There's been a lot of interactions. The federal government certainly knows this and now were just trying to bring it to the local level. Shapiro: A lot of people are skeptical. I've seen the video myself as I know the documentary producer. It's shocking to see but seems like the sort of thing in movies and Sci-Fi shows on TV. Peckman: The footage itself was scrutinized by a film expert, a professor Jerry Hoffman at the Colorado Film Institute and he's absolutely convinced that the footage is real and that it was not doctored. He cannot comment really on the nature of what appears to be an extraterrestrial. He said to achieve that it'd probably cost tens of thousands of dollars with a very elaborate kind of mechanism but at least the footage itself was not doctored. Nothing occurred after the original filming that changed what was on the film. Shapiro: But still I'm sure you know that these types of things are made in Hollywood all the time. Peckman: We don't want to give too much emphasis on the footage itself because outside the context of all the other evidence – testimony from government experts, from military contractors, defense intelligence – about this reality, with out that then it's, you know, much more subject to debate. When you take it with that entire package of events then the video footage itself is just kind of a final visual confirmation of what you already believe at that point. Shapiro: Voters in Denver may have their chance to vote on whether or not to form this extraterrestrial affairs committee. What exactly is that? Peckman: This will be a committee of 11 regular members. This we be funded entirely by grants, gifts and donations. The mayor will appoint the members. There will be representatives from the department of safety, human services also through the office of cultural affairs one city council member and then seven community members. They will basically be an information gathering and dissemination body. They'll obtain the best available credit evidence about extraterrestrial beings and their visits on our planet. They'll share that with the public and with various departments that would have a reason to know whatever their responsibilities are. (Copyright KUSA*TV, All Rights Reserved)
