To help you sort through the field, 9NEWS invited each candidate to tell voters why they should be mayor.
Because one person just filed paperwork late Friday, 9NEWS has invited 16 of them to answer the question, "Why should you be mayor of Denver?" Each candidate's pitch lasts approximately one minute. Fifteen candidates have taped their pitches so far.
Each of the candidates must file a petition with 300 signatures by March 9 to officially make the ballot. Denver's Mayoral election is May 3, 2011. A runoff election will take place on June 7.
