shellacking at the hands of the Rangers on Sunday. It was Philly's first win

in the previous seven games and lost in Philly for the first time since
November 9, 2000. Jean-Francois Jacques had the only goal of the game for the

Uniondale, NY (Sports Network) - Blake Comeau's goal off a deflection with 58
seconds remaining in overtime lifted the New York Islanders to a 4-3 win over
the Toronto Maple Leafs at Nassau Coliseum. After some good puck possession
in the Toronto zone with time winding down, the disc came out to Frans
Nielsen, who fired a shot from the right point that Comeau deflected past
James Reimer to give the Islanders the victory. Comeau also had an assist in
regulation, while Nielsen had a goal in addition to the helper on the game-
winning tally. Michael Grabner and Zenon Konopka also scored for the
Islanders, who have won three of their last four. Al Montoya turned aside 24-
of-27 shots to pick up the victory. Tim Brent had a goal and an assist,
while Nikolai Kulemin lit the lamp for Toronto, which suffered a 5-3 loss
versus Chicago on Saturday and has dropped four of its last six. Keith
Aulie registered his first career goal, while Reimer made 36 saves in defeat.
Final Score: Ottawa 2, New Jersey 1
Newark, NJ (Sports Network) - Erik Condra netted both goals, including the
game-winner with 2:13 to play, as Ottawa outlasted New Jersey, 2-1, at the
Prudential Center. Condra, playing in his tenth NHL game, had his second two-
goal game to account for all of the goals he has scored with Ottawa.
Jason Spezza set up the decisive marker for the Senators, who have won
four of their last five road contests. Craig Anderson turned away 31 shots
to earn the win for the visitors, who ended a six-game losing streak in the
Garden State. Patrik Elias potted the lone goal for the Devils, who had a
four-game win streak snapped. Martin Brodeur stopped 19 shots in defeat for
the hosts, who could gain no ground in the chase for the eighth and final
playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Final Score: Montreal 4, Boston 1
Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - Lars Eller's first career two-goal game
in Montreal's 4-1 win over Boston was overshadowed by a harsh collision
between Bruin defender Zdeno Chara and Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty.
With just 16 seconds left in the second period, Pacioretty was charging down
the left side boards near the benches. Chara went to pinch Pacioretty
off and hit him into a dangerous spot where glass divides the two benches. His
head hit the glass before he tumbled straight to the ice. He laid motionless,
face first, for several minutes as the medical staff attended to him.
Finally, they were able to get him onto a stretcher and off the ice.
Fortunately, the Canadiens reported he was conscious and had motion in his
extremities as he was taken to a local hospital for further examination.
Meanwhile, the Canadiens held onto the lead through a relatively quiet third
period and pulled within three points of division-leading Boston. James
Wisniewski and Brian Gionta also had goals while Carey Price made 30 saves in
the win. Milan Lucic scored the lone goal for Boston, which has lost two
straight on the heels of a season-high seven-game winning streak. Tuukka Rask
surrendered all four goals on 26 shots.

first period and was relieved by Marty Turco, who denied the seven shots he
encountered.
