According to police, the wreck happened around 5 a.m.

The director of marketing for Famous Dave's says the street sweeper was about 14- or 15-feet into the restaurant and "destroyed several walls."

The restaurant owner called 9NEWS and says they hope to have the restaurant closed for only two days. He did say the bar part of the restaurant will be closed "indefinitely."

According to the owner, the street sweeper driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The street sweeping company involved in the crash says the street sweepers can go up to 60 mph and weigh 12,000 pounds.
