FORT COLLINS - A Larimer County Sheriff's Jail Deputy was arrested late Tuesday night after he had an altercation with his ex-wife.
When Fort Collins Police arrested 42-year-old Daniel Bush around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, they found a fully loaded Glock handgun and a large kitchen steak knife in the front seat of his car.
Police say the altercation between Bush and his wife happened when he dropped off their children. After leaving, according to police, he sent a series of harassing text messages to her over the next few hours.
Bush was taken to the Larimer County Detention Center on charges of prohibitive use of a weapon, harassment, driving under the influence of alcohol, drove a vehicle with excessive alcohol content and domestic violence. All charges are misdemeanors.
No one was injured during the incident.
