COMMERCE CITY - An accident at a Commerce City tire shop Thursday evening prompted an investigation by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration Friday.

Robert Rios, 27, died after his fellow 15-year old worker drove a car into a bay at the Tres Amigos Tire Shop.

The car went off the end of the ramp and pinned Rios against the wall.

A family friend said Rios has two young sons, a three-year-old and one-year-old.

Rios was apparently getting ready to help with an oil change Thursday at the tire shop. On Friday, Adams County authorities released the 911 call from the moments after the accident happened. The 911 caller said Rios was pinned against the wall and was breathing but unconscious after the incident.

Police have not asked for charges yet against the 15-year-old boy. The Adams County District Attorney's Office will determine if charges will be filed.

As 9NEWS reported Thursday night, the 15-year-old had the right to be driving on the property.

9NEWS tried to reach out to the boy and his father today, but they did not return our phone calls.

Family and friends are planning a vigil for Rios at the tire shop Saturday evening.
