NEW YORK - According to a recent survey, shoppers believe Walmart's "everyday low prices" may not be the lowest.
Three-fifths of consumers surveyed by a Morgan Stanley analyst feel the retail giant's prices are not always the lowest.
The survey also shows shoppers believe Walmart's prices are just "slightly lower" than grocery store prices and only one in four believe Walmart's prices are "significantly lower."
The perception has caused a decline in same store sales for the retailer and has forced the company to re-tool its marketing message.
