It happened at a Marriott hotel in the Denver Tech Center when the cheerleading team was attending a cheerleading camp.
School superintendent Dr. Randy Miller confirms that there weren't enough rooms available at the hotel, so cheerleading coach Tanya White put two of the boys - who are on that cheerleading team - in rooms with girls.
When the team returned from Denver, some of the students told their parents what happened.
Miller says he and others in the district know about the case and he says it was a mistake on the part of the cheerleading coach.
"We understand," Miller said, "apologize for what happened. It's certainly not something the district at all endorses, and it's something we're investigating now. We take [it] very seriously."
Some relatives of cheerleaders say the cheerleading coach should be fired over the incident.
Miller says it's unlikely that will happen. Going forward, he says, it will be important something like this never occurs again.
