WHEAT RIDGE - Police in Wheat Ridge closed down two lanes of Eastbound I-70 Sunday afternoon after a hit and run accident.
Police say the accident involved a motorcycle and a car. The driver of the car fled the scene. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Police shut down two of the three lanes at Ward road for the accident investigation. Police reopend all lanes just before 8:00 p.m.
The driver later turned herself into another police jurisdiction. Charges have not yet been filed in this case.
