The Sports Authority logos are about 10 feet tall and 120 feet wide. People who live near the stadium say the logos will be too distracting and make their community look like a "mini Las Vegas."
On top of that, the logos will be lit up at all hours of the night.
"That's a lot of hours for us to have to look at an advertisement for Sports Authority," Rafael Espinoza, a neighbor, said.
The folks who run the stadium say they understand the concerns, but add the lights won't be any brighter than the old INVESCO Field logo lights.
"We've always been very cognizant of keeping the illumination to a point where it doesn't negatively impact our neighbors," Andy Gorchov, the stadium's general manager, said.
The only difference the stadium says is the size of the signs. That said, they're open for input.
The proposal is still in an early stage. There will be a few public hearings once it goes to the zoning board.
Denver's Planning Board will make the ultimate decision on the signs.
