This year's tree - a 74-foot-tall Norway Spruce from a family in Mifflinville, Pa, - was lifted into place back in early November.
Workers spent weeks putting the famed lights on the tree. And on top, a 550-pound Swarovski-crystal star filled with 720 LED lights and more than 25,000 crystals.
But the tree may not be the star of the night. Performing at this year's lighting ceremony will be teen heartthrob Justin Beiber.
But if teen pop isn't your thing, don't worry. That staple of New York smoothness himself, Tony Bennett, will also be singing during tonight's show.
You can watch the annual lighting of the Rockefeller Christmas tree Wednesday night on 9NEWS at 7 p.m.
