Kids Running America (KRA) wants kids to run a marathon, but not all at once. Rather with a mentor, a team and a series of small runs. When all the small runs add up to 25.2 miles, the kids then finish their feat with a Final Mile Event and earn an unforgettable reward of having completed a marathon. More importantly, the children form great exercise habits and will hopefully continue them for life.
KRA Executive Director Kerry Vargo was a guest with Susie Wargin for the latest Sidebar. To hear more about the program and see video from KRA runs, check out the video player above.
KRA is seeking mentors, interested schools and students who would like to partake in the program. For more information, visit www.kidsrunningamerica.org
