DENVER - A "highly regarded" recommendation from former Arapahoe County Sheriff Pat Sullivan helped a man with no prior experience in security get a high school security guard job, 9Wants to Know has learned.

Documents obtained by 9Wants to Know show Sean Moss put down an adult sex shop called "Pleasures," and the downtown gay bath house, the Triple C, as work history and references.

Moss's resume and application didn't show any prior work in security or any training in security work.

The 27-year-old adult film star, who was found dead in the South Platte River earlier this year, worked as a security guard at Overland High School for 13 days under Sullivan in August 2007.

An autopsy report revealed that Moss had methamphetamine and a date-rape drug in his system when he was found.

Moss's boyfriend, Andrew Pino, told 9Wants to Know last week he saw Sullivan give Moss drugs.

Sullivan was arrested over accusations he traded meth for sex with another man. He was released on bail on Tuesday.

A Cherry Creek School District spokesperson told 9Wants to Know that Moss's lack of experience in security wasn't an issue because of the "highly regarded" recommendation from Sullivan.

"Back then, when Pat gave you something, like a recommendation, it would have come highly regarded," spokesperson Tustin Amole said. "We looked at that through a different lens than we are now."

9Wants to Know is currently reviewing applications and resumes of six other security guards that received recommendations from Sullivan.

Amole said Moss passed a background check.

A criminal past involving drug use or violence would have precluded Moss from employment, Amole said.

A background check by 9Wants to Know revealed Moss didn't have a criminal background at the time of his employment with the district.
