KUSA - December is the most popular month for engagements, and that means this is a busy time for jewelers as well.
"Every girl wants a diamond, but not every diamond is perfect for every girl," Jewelry Information Center expert Amanda Gizzi said.
Gizzi says the hottest trend in diamond rings is the halo setting.
"It really is the number one style this holiday season," Gizzi said. "The halo style is when the diamond has a circle of diamonds around it."
A new emerging trend this year according to jewelers is the black or gray diamond.
"They are very sultry and very chic," Gizzi said.
But for all the traditionalists out there, Gizzi says the round diamond is still a popular choice.
