A mother and her two young daughters were rescued Thursday when their vehicle ended up dangling from a California Freeway Bridge after a big rig rear-ended their car.
The 36-year-old woman and her daughters, ages 10 years old and 10 weeks old, were pulled out of the car about an hour later.
The man driving the big rig was killed when his vehicle crashed into the creek below and burst into flames.
California Highway Patrol says the 10-week-old baby slept through the entire ordeal and credit her mother for saving her life for properly placing her in a rear-facing car seat in the back seat.
