DENVER - Grocery stores were packed Thursday before the storm, but shoppers saw the opposite Friday.
Not only were there few people in the check-out lines Friday, some stores were running low on several items.
The Safeway store at Corona and 6th Avenue in Denver had only bacon in its meat counter. Most of the half-gallon milk cartons were gone.
Customers had also cleaned out butter and the less-expensive eggs.
The store manager said his staff was working to restock the store. He expected to have it restocked with most items by Friday night.
9NEWS viewers emailed saying other grocery stores in the area were missing items too.
