DENVER - Americans are gearing up to spend big bucks on their sweeties and loved ones this Valentine's Day.
According to the National Retail Federation, consumers will spend an average of $126.03 this year, which is up 8.5 percent. They expect that total spending will reach 17.6 billion dollars.
The NRF also says that men will be the bigger spenders and will spend nearly twice as much compared to women.
