KUSA - Studies have shown the color of your car reflects your personality and mood. The 2011 DuPont Automotive Color Popularity Report is in, and this year's findings agree.

The report says white and pearl-white are the top vehicle colors. The white color is said to be synonymous with a clean and luxurious look. The report's findings also reflects the country's economy.

General Motors Automotive Expert, James Bell, notes when the economy is bad, consumers go for things that don't stand out. This explains why people are purchasing more mundane color pallettes for their cars.

However, things are beginning to look up. Bell says the Chicago Auto Show is featuring colors such as pastel pink and hot orange. The new, vibrant look points to a more optimist view of the economy from a consumer's viewpoint.
