Investigators have been working this case for months and performed enforcement action two weeks ago at a home north of the metro area.
Federal officers used battering rams to break down doors and arrested 80 people as agents and police hit 97 places across the metro area.
They confiscated drugs, guns and nearly $500,000 in cash.
The investigation started with a bank robbery investigation, which led them to a much bigger crime ring.
Agents say they tracked drugs being shipped from Mexico to Colorado and cash flowing the other way.
Police are still looking for 17 other people who they didn't find on Thursday.
Police have said they are tracing guns confiscated to see if they have been involved in crimes.
Suspects arrested Thursday appeared in federal court Thursday afternoon.
9Wants to Know has confirmed the Metro Gang Task Force, FBI, DEA, Colorado State Patrol and CBI were involved.
9Wants to Know learned of the operation days before it began, but made the decision to not report the information due to law enforcement safety concerns.
Law enforcement asked 9NEWS to not report the information until officers had served arrest warrants and made entry into homes and businesses. Investigators told 9NEWS that if a suspect knew police were coming, that suspect could choose to destroy evidence or attempt to injure or kill an investigator.
