There I was calmly typing away on my keyboard getting ready to move on from our morning news beast of four and a half hours to our mid-day shows, when Gregg Moss shows up at my 9NEWS cubicle along with a man in a white diaper, blond wig, and black guitar.

His name was George.

He was here to serenade me with a Beatles tune. When I'm 64 as I recall. It's all a bit of a muddle to be honest. I'm still in shock.

George makes his living as Cupid, and he's one busy guy on Valentine's Day. His stop here at 9NEWS was all cooked up in secret by Gregg and my behind-the-scenes buddies.

Despite the fact I turned several shades of scarlet, nearly matching the color my sweater, it was an experience I will never, ever forget, even if I wanted too. All the 9NEWSIES with their cameras made sure of that.

Thank you Gregg. Thank you gang. Thank you George. You made my Valentine's Day.
