AURORA - It's been nearly three months since someone started a fire at a Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in southeast Aurora, and investigators still have no leads.
On Saturday, members started the rebuilding process.
The fire that broke out at 2:30 a.m. on Dec. 2 gutted a good portion of the building. It has taken members this long to figure out whether they should start over or repair the structure as best they can.
One member says it's a bittersweet day - sweet because of the rebuilding, bitter because investigators still don't know who started the fire.
More than 50 members of the Kingdom Hall came out for the first weekend of volunteer construction for something they believe will be a several-month long process.
"We've only received one tip that a white van was in the parking lot at the time the fire broke out. Since then, we've had no other aid in the investigation, and there are no other leads to follow up on now," Capt. Allen Robnett with Aurora Fire Department said.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the fire to call Aurora's Arson Tip Line at 303-324-8912.
