9NEWS Chief Meteorologist Kathy Sabine says we should look for gradual clearing overnight with chilly lows in the upper teens.
The snow will continue in the southern mountains for a time longer with winter weather and travel advisories in effect through Friday evening.
A WINTER STORM WARNING remains in effect for the San Juan range through 11 p.m. Areas like Telluride, Ouray and Silverton could see an additional accumulation of snow in the 3 to 6 inch range.
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES remain in effect for the Sangre de Cristo range through 11 p.m. Areas like Cuchara, Poncha Pass, Cumbres Pass, and Stonewall could see another 2 to 5 inches with blowing snow.
Warmer weather settles into eastern Colorado for the weekend. Look for partly sunny skies Saturday with highs in the mid to upper 40s, Saturday highs in the mid 50s and 60s with sunshine on Monday.
