NCAA Game Summary - William & Mary vs Northeastern

Richmond, VA (Sports Network) - Quincy Ford scored 18 points to lead the seventh-seeded Northeastern Huskies to a 57-46 over the 10th-seeded William & Mary Tribe in the opening round of the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament.

Jonathan Lee added 11 and Joel Smith chipped in 10 for Northeastern (14-16) which lost both regular season matchups with the Tribe in the regular season. Reggie Spencer grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds as well for the Huskies.

Tim Rusthoven netted 12 points to lead William & Mary (6-26) while Marcus Thornton added 10 points.

Northeastern led 25-22 after a low scoring first half in which each teams had only nine field goals. The Huskies 6-1 advantage on points from the free throw line carried them to the halftime lead.

Free throws again proved the difference in the second half with the Huskies outscoring the Tribe 14-4 from the charity stripe to compensate for a 33.3 percent shooting performance over the final twenty minutes.

Northeastern had a 42-27 advantage on the boards.
