DIA officials say the Sky West flight took off from DIA then returned at about 12:02 p.m. They say not one of the 52 people on board was injured when the plane was evacuated. The passengers were bused back to the concourse.
The Denver Fire Department responded to the scene and is still investigating the aircraft.
SkyWest released the following statement on Saturday:
"SkyWest Airlines flight 6281, operating as United Express, returned to Denver due to a smoke indication in the cabin. The flight landed without incident and was met by airport response vehicles. All 49 customers and 3 crewmembers deplaned safely. SkyWest is working to accommodate customers on the next available flights."
