The Colorado health department had ordered Cotter to divert water from the creek away from the Schwartzwalder Mine so that pollutants wouldn't get into the creek water.
Ralston Creek flows into a Denver Water reservoir that provides drinking water.
The health department's water quality control division says Cotter completed a pipeline Tuesday to divert up to 8 cubic feet per second of creek flows past the mine.
