Though the infant has not been identified yet, sources are speculating this is the missing 7-month-old baby boy who was previously presumed dead in mid-April.

Adams/Broomfield County District Attorney filed charges of child abuse resulting in death against the missing infant's mother - 22-year-old Sharrieckia Page - in April. She faces first-degree murder and child abuse resulting in death charges.

The Commerce City Police Department investigated a missing-person incident involving Page's son on March 29.

Sources confirmed to 9NEWS the baby was thrown in a Dumpster.

"Over a 53-day period, 500 people from 26 agencies and community organizations across the state and nation participated in the search," Commerce City Police said. "Approximately 19,300 hours were spent searching 2.5 acres (approximately 13,000 tons) of the regional solid waste landfill. Working 12-hour shifts at a cost of approximately $10,000 per day, crews sorted through 9,900 tons of waste (over 1 million square feet) before finding the remains."

LaShannon Younger of Peoria, Ill., Page's cousin, previously told 9NEWS' partners at The Denver Post she called police. She was worried about the baby after she talked with Page on the phone.

Younger says Page told her she was having a hard time raising the child. She says her cousin kept saying that she gave the baby away and that he was never coming back.
