At the time of the first sighting, Colorado Parks and Wildlife did not come out and told the police department to leave the bear alone.

At 1:40 p.m., a call was received about a black bear walking down the street at Wheatgrass Circle and Jordan Road.

There are reports of the bear hoping fences and digging in Dumpsters but at no point being aggressive at any of the sightings. A emergency notification told residents to stay inside, bring pets in, not to confront the bear and bring all trash inside.

Colorado Parks and Wildfire responded on Thursday.

The intersection of Parker and Arapahoe roads is the latest report of the bear sighting.
Parker Police Department has lost visual of him at Parker and Jordan roads in the green belt and has notified Arapahoe County.

There will be another emergency notification to residents when the bear leaves or when Colorado Parks and Wildlife removes the bear from the area.

Ashley Guerra contributed to this report.
