Due to extreme fire danger, campfires and charcoal briquette fires are not permitted anywhere within the park.
Petroleum fueled stoves and grills are allowed in designated campsites and picnic areas.
Smoking is prohibited, except for inside vehicles and within parking lots. Fireworks are always forbidden.
The last total fire ban in Rocky Mountain National Park was in September 2010, and in summer 2002.
