Last November, the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms closed its investigation into last July's fire without determining the cause.
At the time, an ATF spokesman said there wasn't enough evidence to officially declare the fire an accident.
Since then, CSU has begun work on a new 12,200 square-foot laboratory. Construction is expected to be completed by next March.
